Today, Minister of Justice Maja Popović and Minister of the Interior Aleksandar Vulin discussed the topics of combating organised crime and corruption, and improving cooperation in the field of information technology.

Ministers Popović and Vulin concurred that a successful fight against organised and other forms of crime required close cooperation between all branches of government. They both emphasised that combating organised crime and corruption was a matter of priority, but that the focus of attention should also be on tackling all other forms of crime.

As regards cooperation in the field of information technology, it was noted that the Agreement on Electronic Data Interchange between Judicial Bodies and the Police had been producing results, with some fine-tuning remaining to be done in the period ahead.
