The Ministry of Justice has advertised an open call for the election of five members of the Anti-Corruption Agency Board, in accordance with the new Corruption Prevention Act—the application of which commenced on 1 September 2020.
Anyone interested in applying to become a Board member should visit the Ministry of Justice’s website to find out more about the election requirements, the application means and deadline, and any necessary supporting documents.
Applications may be submitted in person or by registered mail to the address of the Judicial Academy (41 Terazije St., Belgrade), and no later than 15 days after the date of the call’s publication in The Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia.
The Corruption Prevention Act stipulates that members of the Agency Board are elected by the National Assembly by absolute majority, following a completed open call procedure previously initiated with the announcement of an open call by the ministry in charge of legal affairs and at the respective Minister’s proposal. It also stipulates that the open call procedure itself is to be conducted by the Judicial Academy.
