‘One of the most important talks between Belgrade and Priština will be held today and tomorrow in Washington. The sole objective of this talk is to ensure better lives and economic prosperity of Serbia’s citizens,’ Justice Minister Nela Kuburović-Kisić has stated regarding the Declaration on support to activities of the President of the Republic of Serbia related to the talks with representatives of the interim institutions of self-government in Priština. ‘The Government adopting this Declaration in today’s session is another proof of just how difficult, complex and important the talks are for our entire country. With this Declaration, the Government firmly and unequivocally supports President Aleksandar Vučić in all his efforts to protect the interests of Serbia and all its citizens without exception’, the Justice Minister noted.
The Justice Minister said that the two-day talk — organised by Richard Grenell — could even become a historic one should the Priština side show honest intentions of establishing economic cooperation between Belgrade and Priština for the well-being of all. She added that creating economic relations, which in turn would give young people employment opportunities and the chance to move with the times and to form families, was one of the most significant steps towards the stabilisation of relations between Belgrade and Priština.
‘President Vučić, who is leading the Serbian delegation in the talk in Washington, is a man who for years has been fighting for Serbia and its people like a lion, a man who does not give up fighting even in the most difficult moments, a man who is always prepared to engage in a constructive dialogue, a man who always welcomes and readily considers a well-intended proposal. He is also a person, a representative of the Serbian people and the President of all citizens of Serbia, who will protect and safeguard that which is Serbian, not giving anyone a chance to condition Serbia to make decisions which are not in its interest nor in the interest of its citizens,‘ the Justice Minister emphasised.
