For its part in helping to eliminate the negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, Hotel President in Palić has been awarded a certificate of appreciation by the Army of the Serbian Armed Forces. In April this year, Hotel President — which is under the management of the Directorate for the Administration of Seized Assets of the Ministry of Justice — was placed at the disposal of the Serbian Armed Forces for purposes of quarantine and treatment of its members.
A few weeks earlier, at the end of March, the Ministry of Justice had made the Hotel available for citizens re-entering the country from abroad to stay for the quarantine period — with a total of 651 overnight stays recorded. By mid-April, the Hotel was placed at the disposal of the Serbian Armed Forces, resulting in 1,141 overnight stays.
In addition to Hotel President, the Directorate for the Administration of Seized Assets of the Ministry of Justice had placed three more hotels under its management at the disposal of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, i.e. the COVID-19 Crisis Response Team, in an attempt to fight the COVID-19 pandemic. These were: Hotel Vojvodina and Hotel Putnik in Novi Sad, and Hotel Patria in Subotica. The total capacity of all four hotels is close to 600 places.
