Following a meeting with representatives of judicial institutions, legal practitioners, judicial professionals, and epidemiologists from the Public Health Institute of Serbia Dr Milan Jovanović Batut, the Ministry of Justice has issued recommendations on the work of courts and prosecutor’s offices during the state of emergency.
The recommendations have been sent to judicial authorities and other justice system stakeholders. They are available on the Justice Ministry website.
The recommendations relate to new temporary work arrangements for employees in courts and prosecutor’s offices, and to how holders of judicial offices, attorneys and judicial professionals would be conducting civil and criminal proceedings in cases identified as urgent and of paramount importance for citizens and the state.
The Ministry of Justice expects the recommendations to be observed above all for reasons of safety of citizens and justice system employees, the aim being to reduce the spread of the infection and to ensure continued functioning of the Serbian judiciary.
