The Ministry of Justice has sent a note to the courts which will conduct proceedings against persons who have violated the self-isolation measure, instructing them to organise trials via a video link. The purpose of such arrangement is to ensure the protection of health of both court staff and persons on trial.

The instruction explains that the court IT staff should create the conditions needed to enable proceedings against persons who have violated the self-isolation measure. This means that the courts should have computers with cameras and microphones and the Skype software installed.

The Penal Sanctions Enforcement Administration of the Ministry of Justice has designated three special facilities under its management for receiving those found in violation of the self-isolation measure. The facilities are located in Vršac, Požarevac and Pirot, and they are currently holding 108 offenders in total (44, 43 and 21, respectively).
