On the occasion of the European Day for Victims of Crime, which is marked on 22 February, a conference Attitudes towards Victims – A Test for All of Us was held in Belgrade, organised by the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Mission to Serbia and supported by the European Union (EU) and the Ministry of Justice.
The conference aimed to spotlight the importance of knowing victims’ rights and the role of the media in raising the awareness of this issue in the society.
The Ministry of Justice and the OSCE Mission to Serbia had the opportunity to present their efforts aimed at improving the respect of victims’ rights and establishing a national network of support services for victims and witnesses of crime.
These activities are part of a three-year project Support for Victims and Witnesses of Crime in Serbia, the beneficiary of which is the Ministry of Justice. The project is funded by the EU and implemented by the OSCE Mission to Serbia.
