For the fifth consecutive year, the Ministry of Justice has launched a public call for the allocation of funds collected on the basis of non-prosecution agreements (‘opportunity funds’). Projects of public interest will receive RSD 500 million.
Any entity proposing a project of public interest (in the health, culture, education, humanitarian or similar sector) to be implemented in the 2020 budget year is eligible to participate in the call.
The Ministry of Justice invites all interested parties to apply. The deadline for the submission of applications is 20 days from the date of the publication of the call in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia.
The procedure will be conducted by a commission formed by the Ministry of Justice composed of representatives of relevant institutions who will select the projects of the highest public interest.
The call has been published on the website of the Ministry of Justice.
The total amount of funds collected over the last four years (2016–2019) exceeded RSD 1.6 billion and it was disbursed to 450 projects aimed at improving the lives of Serbian citizens.
