The Ministry of Justice, together with the IT Office and eGovernment, has established a system that gives citizens, legal entities and foreign private persons the opportunity to pay their misdemeanour penalties recordedin the Register of unpaid fines and other monetary penalties electronically, i.e.through the Internet.

Paymentscan bemade by debit or credit cardsthroughthe portal of the Ministry of Justice − Register of Unpaid Fines or the state e-Payment system managed by the IT Office and eGovernment.

E-Payment provides an easy way to settle your obligation without going to the bank or the post office, and payment can be made from one’smobile phone or computer.

Transaction information is readily available, so no further proof of payment is required. In other words, submitting proof in paper form to a competent misdemeanour court is no longer required.

During the e-Payment process, a transaction fee will apply. This fee is prescribed by the bank through which the payment is made, and it must be stated clearly.

The protection of payment card information is provided by the software of the bank which must comply with strict regulations regarding the protection of the data of its clients, while respecting the rules of the card-issuing companies, such as Visa or MasterCard.
