This year, for the third time in a row, the Ministry of Justice received an award for informatics development by the Informatics Association of Serbia. The Ministry has also received recognition for continuing the development of the judicial information system for four projects: eZio application, Case Flow for Bailiffs, Bailiffs’ Operations Monitoring System and JIS-Based Deferred Prosecution Agreements Database. The Head of the e-Justice Department Mr Mario Maletić received the award on behalf of the Ministry of Justice.
The eZio application enables electronic communication between bailiffs and the relevant real-estate cadastre services. This enhances the legal certainty for citizens since all enforcements are recorded within 24 hours and no illegal sale of real estate can take place.
As of 1 October 2019 and under the Case Flow for Bailiffs project, the Ministry of Justice has made it possible for citizens, attorneys and businesses to access their enforcement cases, initiated from September 2019, online at https://tpji.portal.sud.rs/, thus significantly increasing the transparency of enforcement proceedings.
An information system for monitoring the work of judicial professions has also been established. This system provides for centralised reporting on the work of bailiffs while giving an overview of the current state of affairs (number of pending cases, number of handled cases, amount of claims, amount of collected funds), statistics for the previous period, a comparison of different periods, and an analysis of trends.
Finally, the Deferred Prosecution Agreements Database has been created as part of the Judicial Information System (JIS), providing public prosecutor’s offices with direct access thereto.
The Informatics Association of Serbia has also given awards for an innovative start-up product, for a developed and applied IT product or IT service, and for a published scientific paper in the field of informatics.
