The Ministry of Justice in cooperation with the European Union Project EU for Justice–Support for Chapter 23 has organised a new round of training on improved reporting on the Chapter 23 Action Plan implementation.

The new round follows the workshop on 24−25 September, aimed at advancing the knowledge and the skills of the employees within the relevant institutions to report on the implementation of the Chapter 23 Action Plan. The training focuses on the preparation of concise reports on the implementation results. As such, it will enable the participants to learn about the new ways of monitoring the reporting on the implementation of the Chapter 23 Action Plan, and – more specifically − the new reporting methodology as per the proposed revised Action Plan and the Methodology Manual for contact persons for Chapter 23 Action Plan, developed under the Project.

The Negotiating Group for Chapter 23 has prepared a draft of the revised Action Plan for Chapter 23, and one of the revision goals has been the improvement of the monitoring of the reporting mechanisms in order to eliminate the shortcomings in the process previously noted.

The training provides detailed explanation of the proposed mechanism for monitoring the Chapter 23 Action Plan implementation as well as the mechanism of the Early Warning System in case of late implementation.
