Justice Minister Nela Kuburović’s reaction to the Supreme Court of North Macedonia decision that the conditions for the extradition of Tomor Morina to the Republic of Serbia had not been met:
‘Unfortunately, such decision by North Macedonia is yet another example of politics prevailing over law and justice. This is a great embarrassment to international law, and an even greater blow to and an even deeper sorrow of the victims’ families who have been waiting for justice for their loved ones for decades. Despite all the necessary evidence having been submitted to the authorities of North Macedonia, the decision made was contrary to the truth and the facts.
Serbia will not cease to pursue perpetrators of the most serious crimes against humanity, irrespective of their nationality or ethnicity. This we owe to the victims and their families.’
