Justice Minister Nela Kuburović has met with Ambassador of Morocco to Serbia Mr Mohammed Belhaj to discuss ways of further enhancing the cooperation between Serbia and Morocco, to which the signing of four new bilateral agreements between the two countries’ respective ministries of justice would contribute.
Minister Kuburović and Ambassador Belhaj concurred that Serbia and Morocco had exceptional political relations which had strengthened cooperation in all areas between the two peoples, especially the economy, the judiciary and culture.
The Ambassador confirmed Morocco’s unequivocal support to and respect for Serbia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, noting that Morocco would continue to support Serbia within international organisations.
Discussing strategic strengthening of the relations between the two countries, Minister Kuburović and the Moroccan Ambassador – although acknowledging that strong cooperation had already been achieved in areas of defence, economy and judiciary – noted that cooperation needed to be extended to other important areas, such as tourism, education and agriculture.
It was agreed in the meeting that four new bilateral agreements in criminal and civil-law matters would be signed in the course of the following year, towards further enhancement and promotion of cooperation between the two countries’ judiciaries.
