Members of the Working Body for the monitoring of the implementation of the National Strategy for the Processing of War Crimes held a session today, at which the Third Report on the Implementation of the Strategy was adopted.

The dynamics of further work was agreed at the meeting, as well as that the next meeting will be held at the beginning of October, in which the fourth quarter of the current year will be discussed.

The meeting was chaired by Assistant Minister of Justice Čedomir Backović and attended by War Crimes Prosecutor Snežana Stanojković, members of the Ministry of Interior, attorneys, and members of the Appellate and the Higher Court in Belgrade.

In February 2016, the Government of the Republic of Serbia adopted the National Strategy for the Processing of War Crimes for the period 2016-2020 which is one of the obligations from the Action Plan for Chapter 23 as a clear indication of the commitment of the Republic of Serbia to the effective processing of war crimes.
